What Drives You? By Frank Asamoah

“I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfils His purpose for me.”-Psalm 57:2

This is key to understanding God’s purpose for your life. God has numbered your days and will fulfil every purpose He has for you. However, our choices and actions really matter.

“What drives you?

Why am I here on earth?

Why am I alive today?

Answering these questions helps you to maximize your potential on earth.

How? It revives you to Rethink, Rebuild and Restore whatever you have lost living life to the fullest. Mattew 7;7 reads: Ask, it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. vs. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

This scripture is thoughtful enough for any believer to make it in life.

You need to ask anytime you rise up from the bed. Yes! I repeat ask anytime you rise from bed. This will help you to review your goals, network with the people who share in your dreams.

What drives you? What wakes you up? Is it your job, money, alarm clock, your dreams or passion? Whatever it is when you make time to develop it. It will make you much better, bigger or greater in your business, education or family.

After knowing your drive, it will help you pursue your dreams into reality.

Know your drive and after knowing you will forever be grateful…

All the best for the year…

By: FRANK ASAMOAH, author The Mirror of Life- The Journey of Self-Discovery

GYD NETWORK is a classical seminar forum in professional development branded to empower youths in Ghana and across nations through our reputable programs designed to suit the need and desires of Africa and the World at large. The forum is an educational platform where students in Ghana meet with career oriented men and women in their communities, schools, and at the various religious bodies to share and inspire them for excellence. This encourages learning and valuable ideas from each other in developing dreams into reality.

It is a Ghanaian non for profit educational network of young people who have been labeled and are seeking change to change negative situations in their lives and communities. The economy of Africa is very rich in everything natural resource; but our major challenge is lack of trajectory leaders. We lack trail family control, parenting and patriotic service personnel’s in our public and private work places. It is a major challenge on our continent; and it does not mean there is something wrong with us as a continent, nation and a family. We only need to groom young men and women in our various communities that will grow up to be the best leaders we have been yearning for. Our thinking, lifestyle and understanding of leadership, parenting, education, health and entrepreneurship must be well nurtured to our youths in Ghana and Africa for global excellence, and that’s the purpose of Generational Youth Development Network.

As nations grow their economies and human capital development; it is important to grow generational leaders. Generational Leaders are type of leaders who think about 4th and 5th future children. Their thinking is beyond clothing, selfishness, greediness, and unpatriotic. They think about nations first, the people and what the future holds for them. They are leaders with nationalistic spirit, determination, dedication and desire to serve all for excellence. Some generations’ plant trees and seasons is the only difference another generation cut them for their use. It is time to be a planter’ now for the unborn generations.

GYD Network has recognized the need to get more “planters” in our social and public lives. We need young and active citizens to think and provide solutions to challenges in Africa for global excellence. Through peer to peer mentoring, we empower young people on our educational forums, schools and in the religious bodies to be active citizens and not spectators, aware of government operations, their rights and the ability to use their voices to influence policies, practices, government regulations, and freedom of rights and be law abiding citizens in pursuit of their dreams.

Our network promote youth leadership empowerment forums from parents to teachers; invitation to Head of states on our forums, lectures, Presidents to Parliamentarians, Entrepreneurs to Business tycoons, young and old, now and future generations to be active citizens and not spectators. We encourage them to do more than just watch. The best people to solve Africa problems are Africans themselves.  Which I believe that person will emerge from our effort to reach out to all in Ghana, Africa and the rest of the youth across the World.

We are young people helping other people, ensuring availability of self-help, peer support and changing systems so that young people get the support they need with the respect and dignity they deserve.
Our mission statement to reach other countries in Africa and the world at large is of very high esteem. Our aspiration is to attain height of excellence in our services and also an opportunity to provide solutions and support to the world socioeconomic challenges.

The Mirror of Life- The Journey of self-Discovery

“No man has a chance to enjoy permanent success until he begins to look in a mirror for the real cause of all his mistakes. – Napoleon Hill (Law of Success Page. -13- )

Life is easy, why? There are adequate pillars contributing to your life in different ways: religion & relationship, education, cultural, money, health, government and emotional response. Life from the very beginning of creation to current generation probes a lot of questions. But before we proceed to the wits in this article, first you need to picture yourself in a real life mirror. Look to yourself and say “I am who I am now, because of what I am thinking and can change to anything by changing my thoughts today”. No matter what prison you find yourself, your imagination cannot be imprisoned. The life you see in the mirror is the image of your destiny. You can like or dislike it base on how well life treats you. Every battle won in life has a master mind behind and is in two phase; first spiritual realm before physical. And that give us the two phase of life. There is packed wisdom for you in this. You must do the things you think you cannot do. And remember, there is no harm in trying. Human progress is neither automatic nor inevitable… Every step toward the goal of justice requires sacrifice, suffering, and struggle; the tireless exertions and passionate concern of dedicated individuals.-Martin Luther King Jr-

To succeed in life is to grow in wisdom as you look the mirror of your life. Remember the best place to mature in life is to grow towards the progressive evolution of life and the effort which counts in your life is the one leading you to self-understanding. If you are in your 20’s; you think age fifty is far-off but it isn’t. You will be fifty before knowing it. I want to challenges you to stay focus in life as you journey towards the progressive evolution of your new day. Never bow to the pressure and the state of your family. Don’t ever blame your parents or ancestors, but think about what you can do now with the little resources available to you. Many are called but few are chosen and I think you are the only one left to make the change you wish to see in life. We only look into the past to learn from it in order not to repeat our mistakes. We live in the present on its availabilities and tomorrow for the future we hope for. That’s it the only glory in it.

You may not know your enemies. The same people chanting God bless you, the same chant to crucify you when succeeding. The most important and basic things in your life are done by you not politicians. You can shout all you can. The Government will not chew the food in your mouth for you. Inspire yourself and murder your enemies with success in all areas of your life. Make every day count and life is more than food and the body more than clothes. Make good use of your time as you journey forth to conquer your fears. Your life is bigger than football arguments which later profit you with hunger and thirst. If you don’t have time for your destiny today, the current and future days will not have time for you. In every remarkable life money plays a role but if you continue to believe money answers everything in life you will spend the rest of yours chasing it. Life is not all about money; it’s about God, your purpose, passion and creativity.

You have heard of a message today that will work on your five senses to understand the importance of time management in life. Make good use of your time while it last. The meaning of whom, where and how you are in life is important: this will support your day to day administering of your time use. The article has been written to speed your understanding to issues in life as well as how to discover your true identify in life. The messages and ideas shared here are meant to help you be an agent of change in your life. You know yourself better than anyone else. And the time to act is now or never. It is my hope that this message will walk you through life with due diligence as you develop strategies to your challenges in life by getting life time solutions. What is your purpose? What change do you want to make in your life today, tomorrow, this week, this month or next quarter or year? Where have you ever imagined travelling to? What necessary steps have you put in place to bring your imagination into reality? Your answer to them will help you a lot as you begin to reach greater height in life. It is my hope to make most of our youth in Ghana and beyond endeavor to overcome the regret snare in their 50’s. The differences between the fifty year old security man who opens the gate of the fifty year CEO all happens in the mirror of their youth.

I want to use this message to segregate you from immature thinking to matured thinking. What are some of the immature thoughts; if my parents were rich! If I had it! I deserve it! I am entitled! Pay my bills for me! Take care of me! Do not offend me! Such thoughts undermine your confidence in life and cripple you to nothing but a dead lion to your family, community and the world at large. But as you begin to focus more on mature thinking such as,’ I must make it. I will do it. I am ready to take the task. It’s about what I can do to support others. I will challenge my views to succeed. I will buy my own stuff. Nobody owes me anything. I accept my mistakes. I am responsible for my success and failures. You will be able to see the beauty of your life in the clear mirror of it and understand the easiness of living your destiny.

I am of the fate that; if young people of today have the guidance, passion and ideas to assess themselves by evaluating their life within. They will be successful in major areas of their lives and more importantly become responsible parents with much courage to pursue excellence. And that’s my ultimate goal as the founder of my organization. Shalom.

Our Set Of Values At GYD Network

Our Values Are:

TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Our leadership is to inspire the youth to be self-determining in fulfilling their personal leadership purpose for excellence in their career development. When we talk about a transformational leadership. It is someone who think solution, place high esteem on the values of fairness, integrity, wisdom and have the great ambition to serve all with high aims. We need to aim high with precision and prudency. Throughout the history of life. The battle has always been the battlefield of the mind. And when your mind is conquered, then you ain’t go nowhere. There is the need to empower our young ones to stand tall in leading. The approaches to youth leadership need to be cultivated at the levels of individual skills, collective process, and youth adult-partnership.  To motivate, shape and educate the youth in Ghana to be capable of leading and managing their own affairs successfully.

INTEGRITY & DISCIPLINE

Our integrity & discipline thrives in quality of being honest and having strong moral principles that nourish and establish the youth to stand tall in leadership, and parenting for excellence. Moreover, to be discipline in training which produce obedience through the willingness to obey and self-control. Self-control as in the ability to control ourselves even in difficult situations.  We hold on to such standard of integrity & discipline with the determination not to lower our standards.

FIDELITY

Our fidelity to humanity with incredible lasting support, sacrifices and honesty is of high esteem. A heartfelt action for the youth in Ghana to be model leaders and parents in the development of Ghana for excellence in Africa. You cannot love without love. Therefore, we first appreciate who we are and bloom for the best at all times. In fact, love is the core foundation of GYD Network. The love for you, Ghana and Africa.

EXCELLENCE IN ELEVATION

Excellence is our hallmark. We inspire the youth to be successful in their sovereign leadership. Success: Remember we have a choice: you either define success in your own terms or end up working towards someone else’s definition. The richest people are not in the graveyard, they are the same people out there or will come. Think about the value added life. You cannot die like a fly.  Think and define success in your own terms and work toward to it. The world must feel you. That is the excellence in elevation and the value added life we advocate for as an organization.

SERVICE TO HUMANITY

To provide community service in shaping, inspiring and influencing the opinion and behavior of our young ones by showing them the way of advancing in leadership skills, developing them to be posterity leaders in Ghana to be independent and self-confident in the nation building.

Generational Youth Development Network is purposely in existence to motivate, teach and inspire the youth how to think, than what to think – rather to improve their minds, so as to enable each of them to think for themselves, than to load the memory with thoughts of other men.

GYD Network offers our young and future generations a better world to live in; a more peaceful society with a healthier, cleaner environment and a pattern of sustainable development that seeks to eradicate poverty. The organization stands for a better change in raising model generational leaders to empower youth in Ghana to be independent and self-confident in the country and wherever they may be.  And more importantly to synergy the young people in Ghana with learning opportunities, creative ideas to develop and build a better country for generations after.
